Trenton Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Breakfast Saturday, August 7th
I can almost taste them! The 3rd Trenton Volunteer Fire Department Pancake Breakfast of the season is this Saturday, August 7th! The cost is only $8.00 per adults, $3.00 for children with children under 5 eating for free! Let me tell you these aren’t your ordinary pancake breakfasts!
Yes there are pancakes, blueberry pancakes, sausage, bacon, juice and coffee but French toast too! Bring your own chocolate chips and ask nicely and Kevin will make you Chocolate Chip Pancakes! The Pancake/French Toast Breakfasts will be served on August 7th and September 25th, all from 6 AM to 10 AM. On October 30th there’s a huge Hunter’s Breakfast which is served from 5 AM to 10 AM!
The Trenton Volunteer Fire Department has been serving these Pancake/French Toast Breakfasts for nearly 20 years. With the proceeds from these breakfasts and WITHOUT tax dollars they have purchase a 1997 Rescue Truck, 8 years ago. They have also purchased a thermal imaging camera, Jaws of Life and other specialized equipment.
They also purchased Truck 212 which went into service in March of 2018. Truck 212 is a 1997 E-One 75 foot ladder truck which was purchased from Racine, Wisconsin. It has a 1500 gallon per minute pump and a 500 gallon water tank. Truck 212 replaces Rescue 1 and carries the jaws of life and other rescue equipment.
I will be broadcasting from the the breakfasts from 7 to 9 a.m. so be sure to stop by, have a great breakfast and say "Oh Hi! "
Then afterwards, be sure to stop by the parking lot of Edward Brother's Supermarket (the old Trenton IGA) for an old fashioned pie sale from 8 a.m.to 12 Noon or when all the pies are gone to benefit the Trenton Scholarship Fund.
