Trenton Junior Legion Team Beats Skowhegan 6-1

The Trenton Acadian Junior Legion Baseball Team remained undefeated in the State Junior Legion Tournament being held in Augusta, after beating Skowhegan 6-1 on Thursday.

Dawson Curtis pitched a 2-hitter, allowing 1 run, in going the distance. He struck out 13 and walked 2.

Batting leadoff, Brady Pert was 2-4 with a run batted in. Collin Sullivan was 2-3 with a triple and 2 runs knocked in.

Dawson Curtis, Jackson Berry and Evan Haskell all had a single.

The Acadians swiped 4 bases with Pert stealing 2, and Curtis and Berry each stealing 1 base.

Trenton will take on Capital Area Junior Legion at 10 a.m. The loser of that game will take on the winner of the Hampden-Skowhegan game(1 p.m.) which will take place at 4 p.m.
