Trenton Jr. Acadians Beat Hammond Lumber Riverhawks Gray 8-2

In Junior American Legion Baseball Friday night, June 19th, the Trenton Jr. Acadians beat the Hammond Lumber Riverhawks Gray 8-2.

Trenton scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd and 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Spencer Young picked up the win for Trenton. He pitched 6.0 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, both unearned. He struck out 13 and walked 3. Trey Keene pitched the 7th inning, allowing a hit.

Skyler Carter was 2-2 for the Trenton Acadians, scoring a pair of runs. Coleman Welch was 2-4, with a double, driving in 3 runs and scoring 2. Bryce Wood was 2-4 with  pair of runs knocked in. Brayden Pooler  had a single.

Grady O'Roak started on the mound for the Riverhawks. He went 3.0 innings allowing 4 hits and 6 runs, 2 of which were earned. He struck out 4 and walked 5. Kellan Bishop pitched the final 3.0 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, both unearned. He walked 1 and struck out 6.

Mason Poitras was 3-3. Bishop had a double.

The Acadians are 1-0. They will host the Hammond Lumber Riverhawks White on Monday, June 22nd at 5:30.

Hammond Lumber Riverhawks Gray are 1-1. They will host the CM Hurricanes Jr. Legion Team on Monday June 22nd at 5 p.m.
