Trenton Election for Selectman Ends in Tie

Voters in Trenton cast their votes for Selectman and School Board on Monday May 19th.

Elected to a 3-year Term on the Select Board was Danielle Cole, with 167 votes, running unopposed.

Susan Sargent defeated Jarod Rollins 107-94  for a 1-year Term on the Select Board.

In the vote for the 2-year Term on the Select Board, Carol Perreault and Judith Sproule were tied 93-93.

We are assuming that there will be a recount, and if the vote remains tied, and neither Perreault or Sproule withdraw, then there will have to be another vote, with just those 2 on the ballot.

In the School Board Committee, both write in candidates Cecelia Zavestoski  (60 votes) and Carlene Hanscom (58 votes) were elected.
