About 8 hearty and brave souls took part in the Tremont Fire Department's 1st Annual Polar Dip this morning, January 1st, while 15 "smarter" folk watched and cheered them on!

Air temperatures were about 10 degrees, and the low in Bar Harbor this morning was 6 below. Water temperature was approximately 37 bone rattling degrees as these participants went in at high tide!

You can see that some even managed to go under water!
