Last Fall I had the honor of participating in the Ellsworth High School Mad Jester's Fall production of "High School Musical"! Let me tell you, these actors, production crew, musicians and directors, costumers and choreographers work, and they work HARD! Rehearsals are lengthy, meticulous and there's some screaming that would make basketball coaches jealous! But the end result is a fantastic musical!

This year, both Ellsworth and MDI will be able to perform without COVID protocols. Last year everyone had to wear masks as a precaution, which made performing more challenging!

"A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" will be performed at Ellsworth High School November 25th and 26th at 7 p.m. and then on Sunday November 27th at 2 p.m. There are also performances December 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 7 pm. All total 6 performances and opportunities to support the Mad Jesters! Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. You can purchase your tickets HERE

For the 2nd time in their history, the MDI Drama Department will present Oliver! The last time it was done was in 1989 and directed by the late Joyce Higgins. Evening performances of Oliver! are scheduled for November 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th at 7 p.m.with matinees on November 13th and 19th at 2 p.m.. Reserved seating tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens and may be purchased at the door or during limited presale box office hours during the weeks of October 31st and November 7th.
