As we get ready for the Ellsworth Girls Basketball Team to play Old Town Saturday afternoon, February 25th in the Northern Maine Class B Finals at 2 p.m. I thought it would be fun to look back at the game where Ellsworth played Houlton in February 1993 in the Regional Finals

The Eagles lost to the Shiretowners 57-46

Members of the team coached by Steve Joy were

Freshman - Marcie Billings, Marcie Damp, Nicole Shattock

Sophomores - Lisa Billings, Jessica Naylor, Lisa Palmer, Shannon Hamilton

Juniors - Candy Connolly, Amy Anderson, Candance Poors, Katy Davis, Jill Emerson, Wendy Turner

Senior - Amy Sisson

The game was delayed briefly with 55 seconds remaining as a bank of lights went out in the old Bangor Auditorium.

In 1992 Ellsworth was the North Champion, losing to York in the State finals 62.-47
