Thirsty Whale Tavern to Offer Free Kids Lunch and Free Kids Dinner to K-12 Students [UPDATE]

UPDATE- Given President Trump's declaration to limit gatherings to less than 10 people. The Thirsty Whale will be closed effective March 17th. If you want to order "school lunch" or "school dinner" please private message The Thirsty Whale  for food orders and to arrange pick-up until the school lunch program begins.

Until the organized school program is up and running to feed Mount Desert Island students, the Thirsty Whale, located at 40 Cottage Street is stepping up to the plate to feed those students K-12 and their families who are hungry.

Please select from any sandwich with a side, chicken fingers with a side, fish and chips, soup, chowder, chili or salad item. All you need to do is call the Whale at 288-9335 and tell the person taking your order that you would like to order “school lunch “or “school dinner”. No questions asked, your order will be ready at no charge for pick up when you arrive.

This offer is available until the School Lunch program is set up.
