Thirsty Whale Tavern and College of the Atlantic to Offer Free Meal For Government Workers Impacted by the Partial Government Shut Down
As the partial government shutdown continues and approaches 30 days, 2 more businesses have stepped up and are offering a free meal for government workers on Mount Desert Island impacted, whether furloughed or working without a paycheck.
The Thirsty Whale Tavern on Cottage Street in Bar Harbor invites any unpaid government employees and their immediate family members to come in and have a meal on them
The details:
Any furloughed worker living or working on MDI is welcome to come in for lunch or dinner any day January 21st-26th. Just show your server or bartender your Government ID or your paycheck stub with an ID and your meal along with any non alcoholic beverages for you and your immediate family is on The Thirsty Whale
The College of the Atlantic is is inviting federal employees to join them for a free meal this Wednesday, January 23 in their Take-a-Break dining hall.
Wednesday is brunch day at COA, so come by anytime between 11:30-1 for a delicious plate of breakfast items - or make your own meal from our salad and sandwich bar.
