The CAT to Begin 2023 Season May 25

The CAT will begin service between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Bar Harbor on Thursday, May 25th

Bay Ferries will offer service four days a week (not Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday) until June 26, when service will begin seven days a week through September 4. From September 7 until October 9, service will be offered 5 days a week (no Tuesdays or Wednesdays).

The CAT will depart Yarmouth, Nova Scotia at 9:30 a.m.  Atlantic Time (8:30 AM Eastern Time) and arrive in Bar Harbor at approximately noon Eastern time. It will then depart Bar Harbor at 3  p.m. Eastern Time and arrive in Yarmouth at 7:30 p.m. Atlantic Time. It takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete the crossing between Bar Harbor and Yarmouth.

As of May 2nd, Bay Ferries had sold 14,556 tickets for the 2023 season. This represents an increase of 58.4 % or 5,368 passengers booked over the 9,188 passengers who had booked to travel in 2022 as of the same day.
