According to the nomination form submitted for the Career and Technical Education Student of the Year

"Taylor is “all in” at her CTE school. Taylor has embraced all that CTE has to offer and dedicated herself to Hancock County Technical Center (HCTC).

Taylor is a motivated student and class leader. Taylor came into Hospitality, Travel and Tourism here at HCTC bringing maturity and leadership. She is not only able to think on her feet and problem solve, she also provides support and guidance to other students. Because of her dedication she was selected to sit on the Hospitality, Travel & Tourism Advisory board for our school as a student representative, as well as inducted into National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) in the Spring of 2022, and currently holds the Vice President position as a Senior.

Taylor is not only a standout student in Hospitality but also a dedicated member of SkillsUSA. Taylor earned a gold medal in Prepared Speech for SkillsUSA Maine in 2022 & 2023. She also held President and Vice President positions as a SkillsUSA State Officer. These positions require much dedication and time management.

Taylor exemplifies what being a CTE student means."

Taylor and her family will be honored in Lewiston on Saturday April 29th.
