Blake Swihart hit 2 home runs and the Red Sox opened the game with a 6-run first inning on their way to a 10-4 win over the Yankees and extend their win streak to 5 games.Swihart contributed to the 6 run explosion in the first with a 3-run homer that gave Boston a big lead on New York Starter Michael Pinada. Swihart launched his second homer in the top of the 8th inning after Brock Holt reached on his second hit of the game. At 23 years old Swihart becomes the youngest Red Sox catcher to hit two homeruns in a game since Mike Ryan in 1965.

Mookie Betts, Dustin Pedroia and Jackie Bradley Jr each had 2 hits in the game to help the Sox win and once again prevent the Yankees from clinching a playoff spot.

Rick Porcello gave Boston fans concerns after allowing New York to score 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning and cut the Sox lead to 2. He settled in after that and did not allow another run while pitching 8 innings and striking out 8. The win is his 9th of the season.

Jackie Bradley Jr had another nice night patrolling left field as he chased down a couple fly balls that most outfielders would not have reached. Check out the video above to see his running catch against the wall.

Wade Miley makes the start tonight in game 3 of the 4-game series. The pregame starts at 6:20 on AM 1370 WDEA
