Special Olympics Torch Run Friday June 6
Motorists should be advised that the annual Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run will be taking place this Friday, June 6th. A contingent of runners will leave Town Hill accompanied by police and sheriff cruisers heading towards Ellsworth at 7 a.m.

They will arrive in Ellsworth at around 9 a.m., and then will depart from Ellsworth's Key Bank around 9:30 heading towards Bangor .There will be a planned stop at Holden at approximately 11:45 and then the departure to Bangor at Noon, and then ultimately up to the University of Maine on Route 2.
The Special Olympics will be held at UMaine on Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th.
