Sox Honor Orsillo [VIDEO]

Sunday, September 27th was the Boston Red Sox last home game of the 2015 season, and the Boston Red Sox honored long time play-by-play man Don Orsillo in the top of the 8th inning with a video highlight of some of his most famous calls and a well deserved standing ovation by fans and players.

Orsillo was notified earlier this year that his contract would not be renewed, and that Dan O'Brien who is one of the radio announcers would move to NESN to take his place in the 2016 season.

According to an ESPN report, Orsillo will join the San Diego Padres announcing team in 2016, and ultimately take over for Dick Enberg, who has announced that 2016 will be his last year broadcasting Padres' baseball
