256 Southwest Harbor voters went to the polls on Tuesday, March 24th casting their ballots.

By a vote of 204-51 voters approved Article 2 which authorized the issuance of up to $618,000 in general obligation bonds for upgrades to the Town's Public Works Garage. This was the 25 percent match, that will allow the Town to receive the Congressionally Directed Spend of 2.45 million. This will enable the Town to fix the Public Works Garage which is currently uninsurable. The Garage is where the Town of Southwest Harbor houses the Town's buses and public works' equipment.

By a vote of 210-46 voters approved Article 3 which authorized the issuance of up to $197.00 in general obligation bonds to continue the repair to Harbor Avenue, Shore Road, Cable Crossing and the Manset Dock which were severely damaged in the January 2024 storms. The Town had received over $260,000 in funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Maine Emergency Management Agency. This $197,000 will allow the Town to complete the repairs.
