Southwest Harbor Police Department’s Sand for Seniors Program Returns
The program that began last winter for seniors in Southwest Harbor and Tremont is back!
Any elderly resident in Southwest Harbor or Tremont can call the non-emergency number of the Southwest Harbor Police Department at 244-7911, and they will deliver a bucket of sand per household for elderly residents. All they ask is that you call them to pick up the empty bucket, or bring it back to the Police Department, so they can reuse it!
Icy mornings are on the way, and this great program will help keep you or your loved one hopefully slip-free!
