Southwest Harbor Fire Department Open House – October 5

The Southwest Harbor Fire Department will be hosting a Open House this Saturday, October 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will take place rain or shine. Members of the Southwest Harbor Fire Department will be on hand to give a first-hand tour of the station, trucks and equipment that they use!

There will be fire hose demonstrations and your opportunity to have questions answered about fire safety and your home.

If you have difficulty in obtaining smoke detectors for your house the Southwest Harbor Fire Department can help you! They may even be able to stop by and install them for you and if you are elderly or disabled, change the batteries in them for you!

And if you have ever thought about serving your community by joining the Fire Department as a volunteer, this an ideal opportunity to talk to members of the Southwest Harbor Fire Department!

The Southwest Harbor Fire Department will have helmets and stickers for the children and light refreshments will be served to all.
