Somesville Strawberry Festival July 9th

This Tuesday, July 9th, from 1 PM to 3 PM it’s the 44th Annual Strawberry Festival at the Somesville Firehouse!

The festival features fresh strawberry shortcake made with freshly picked Maine strawberries and topped with freshly whipped cream. The strawberry shortcake recipe has been handed down through the years. A limited amount of strawberries will be available by the quart.

This year, the 44th Annual Strawberry Festival will be co-hosted by the Seal Cove Auto Museum and the Mount Desert Island Historical Society.  Proceeds will help support the missions of these two organizations.
