Hermon Hawks Beat MDI 6-0

The Hermon Hawks beat the MDI Trojans 6-0 in Bar Harbor on Monday, May 4th.

Hermon scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning and then added 4 runs in the top of the 6th inning.

Mikelle Verrill picked up the win for the Hawks, holding the Trojans ti just 2 hits. She struck out 18 and didn't walk a batter.

Ella Watson took the loss for the Trojans. She allowed 9 hit and 6 runs, 3 of which were earned. She struck out 8 and walked 2.

Ella Watson and Hannah Lawson each had a single for MDI.

Rebecca Balmas was 1-2 with a home run, driving in 2 runs.

Elena Walker was 2-4 from the leadoff spot for Hermon. Verrill helped herself at the plate, going 2-4. Leah Walker was 1-4. Brielle Phair was 1-3 and Maddie Tracy was 1-2. Hannah Waning was 1-3 with 2 runs batted in.

Anna Knights, Rebecca Balmas, Elena Walker, Hannah Waning and Mikelle Verrill each had a stolen base for the Hawks.

Hermon is 2-0. They will host Brewer on Wednesday, May 6th at 4:30 p.m.

MDI is 2-3. They will play at John Baspt on Tuesday, May 5th at 4:30 p.m.
