The Ellsworth Softball Team beat John Bapst 11-5 at Husson University on Thursday afternoon May 21st.

Cam Clough picked up the win for the Eagles in the circle. She pitched a complete game allowing 6 hits and 5 runs, 2 of which were earned. She struck out 8 and walked 2.

Meredith Walsh was in the circle for the Crusaders. She allowed 11 hits and 11 runs, 8 of which were earned. She struck out 8 and walked 3.

Lily Alley had a big day at the plate for the Eagles. She was 3-4 with a triple and double, driving in a run.

Becca Trundy was 1-4 with a double and drove in 4 runs.

Cam Clough helped herself at the plate going 1-2 with a double and walking twice, scoring 3 runs and driving in a run.

Jovi Nightingale was 2-4. Jenna Moon was 1-4. Kaylee Bagley was 1-3 and Abby Doyle was 2-4.

Ellsworth stole 5 bases with Jenna Moon leading the way with 2 stolen bags. Trundy, Clough and Alley each had a stolen base

For the Crusaders Addison Milligan was 2-4 with a run batted in. Grace Bouchard, Anna Bouchard, Addison Clukey and Olivia Hagstrom each had a single.

The Crusaders had 5 stolen bases. Milligan swiped 3 bases and Clukey and Kylee Barker each had a stolen base.

Ellsworth is now 8-3. They will play a doubleheader at Presque Isle on Saturday, May 23rd with games at Noon and 2 p.m. against the Wildcats.

John Bapst is now 5-7. They will play at Old Town on Saturday, May 23rd at 4 p.m.
