After 16 years, Sip's Cafe in Southwest Harbor will be closing for good on Friday, April 15th.
There's no doubt that the last 2 years of the pandemic have taken their toll on restaurants, what with the reduced seating, supply issues and difficulty in obtaining help. It's just painful to see these good, year-round restaurants closing, especially where there are just a few restaurants open year-round in Southwest Harbor. And Sip's was always a good neighbor, offering gift certificates to various causes and supporting community events.
The good news, is that Sip's 2.0 next to the Post Office in Southwest Harbor will be remaining open.
