Sign of the Times [PHOTOS]

All over Downeast Maine it's the surest sign that mid-February is here! We're not talking melting snowbanks or crocuses appearing! It's way too early for that! Rather, we're talking about signs supporting local high school teams as they begin post-season play!

It really is an amazing site! I love the community spirit and it was something else that stupid COVID took away from us last year! There's just something special about seeing the names attached to the telephone poles!

Parents were up putting up the MDI Girl's Basketball signs on Sunday, February 13th. Look for swimming signs too! And not only will you see them coming off the Island, but I know you'll see Ellsworth names heading up to Bangor!

Talking to one of the MDI parents this afternoon, she commented how quickly the 4 years have gone. It's true, and I truly hope that the team members and families can take a moment and reflect on the community's support over their high school career. 4 years goes by like a drop in the bucket.
