
Schoodic National Scenic Byway Day – June 14
Saturday, June 14th is Schoodic National Scenic Byway Day!
Everyone is welcome to help celebrate The Schoodic National Scenic Byway's 25th year, as a nationally designated Scenic Byway.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday the 14th (rain or shine) at the Sorrento/Sullivan Recreation Center on US Route 1 in the Town of Sullivan, local artisans, businesses and non-profit organizations will be on site. The Community Center will be open for tours and there will be music, activities for kids, arts and crafts for sale and food trucks to grab some lunch.
The Schoodic National Scenic Byway, a 29-mile highway route, passes through the towns or Sullivan, Gouldsboro, Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia National Park. It features spectacular water views, historic buildings, fishing villages and access to vast recreational activities.
