Friday night, December 2nd was a fantastic night for Santa's arrival in Bar Harbor! Although I couldn't personally be there, I did have the opportunity to speak with Santa as he flew back to the North Pole and this is what he had to tell me!

"It was so nice to fly over Cadillac Mountain and visit Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island last night! It is always so much fun seeing all the good little girls and boys on the Island!

I had so much fun riding around waving hello to everyone on the sidewalks as I was escorted by a member of the Bar Harbor Police Department! Although I'm used to seeing Rudolph's red nose blinking it was fun having the flashing blue lights leading the way!

And oh my, what a crowd waiting for me on the Village Green! I hope you all enjoyed the hot cocoa and the fun activities. Thank you to everyone who came up and gave me fist bumps and hugs. I wait all year long to see you, and I just had to tell Mrs. Claus about how good you all were! And then we all counted down 5-4-3-2-1 and lit the tree! It sure is beautiful!

Thank you to the hundreds of children that came down to the Bar Harbor YMCA and visited with me after. I have missed you all terribly! Keep following your mom and dad's directions, make your beds and stay on Santa's good list! I can't wait to visit your houses on Christmas Eve! Be sure to go to bed early that night and don't forget to leave me a cookie and some milk and a carrot or some snacks for the reindeer! They get hungry pulling the sleigh full of toys around the world!"

Wow! Thanks Santa! I wish I could have been there! It sure sounds like it was a great time!

Here are some of the photos from Friday night, thanks to the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce!
