Red Sox Beat Orioles 6-5 Behind Four Home Runs

Adley Rutschman homered twice on Thursday night, September 3rd in his first game back at Camden Yard since being traded to the Red Sox, and Boston beat Baltimore 6-5.

Rutschman homered in his first at bat, and then hit another home run in the 6th inning. He ended the night 2-4, scoring 3 runs, and knocking in 2.He now has 11 home runs on the season, and his 1st and 2nd as a member of the Red Sox.

Boston had 7 hits, 4 of which were home runs!

Nick Sogard hit his 4th home run in the 8th inning, a 2-run homer and Roman Anthony hit his 3rd home run of the season, a solo shot in the 9th inning.

Eli White had a double.

Jake Bennett started on the mound and went 6.0 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 7 and didn't walk a batter. He did allow back-to-back homers in the 4th inning.

Erik Miller pitched a hitless 7th inning, striking out and walking 2. He picked up the win and is 4-0. Garrett Whitlock pitched the 8th inning and struck out 2. Aroldis Chapman earned his 31st save of the season, despite allowing a 2 run homer in the 9th inning. He struck out 2.
