Roman Anthony Doubles for 1st Hit Driving in 2 Runs and Leads Red Sox to 3-1 Win Over Rays [VIDEO]

Roman Anthony, playing in just his 2nd game, was 1-4, collecting his 1st major league hit, a double, in front of his family to drive in 2 runs, to lead the Red Sox to a 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night at Fenway Park.

Anthony also made a huge sliding catch, playing right field, in the top of the 6th inning.

Trevor Story was 2-4, with his 9th home run, a solo homer in the 6th inning to give the Red Sox an insurance run.

Carlos Narvaez doubled and scored in the 1st inning.

Lucas Giolito bounced back after his last rough start and went 6.0 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 1 unearned run. He struck out 4 and walked 3. He picked up the win and is 2-1 on the season.

Garrett Whitlock pitched the 7th and 8th innings, holding Tampa Bay hitless and striking out 3.

Greg Weissert pitched the 9th inning, facing just 3 batters to earn his 1st save of the season.
