Road Construction Alert – Trenton Area

Road Construction Alert! Well, here is another sure sign that Spring is on the way!! The Maine Department of Transportation has sent out notices that road reconstruction work on Route 3 (in Trenton) will resume beginning April 1, 2013. (No, this is not an April Fools Day prank.) Crews will begin preparing areas along Route 3 for paving. There will be two lanes of traffic open from 6am to 6pm and alternating one-way traffic from 6pm to 6am. Crews will work Monday thru Saturday. Paving is anticipated to begin in mid-May, however, the work is weather dependent so hours and schedules may change. Project completion is expected to be mid-June. Please allow extra travel time to and from Mt. Desert Island. Your patience will be appreciated. For more information and updates, visit: mainedot.gov
