Prior to the MDI-Caribou Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball games with Caribou on Friday, January 28th a moment of silence was held in Tammy Dow's memory. The following was read and broadcast on the radio and on the live-stream

"To those in attendance we ask that you please rise as we recognize a moment of silence. Earlier today, the MDI High School Community lost a dear friend in Tammy Dow, a 2018 recipient of the MDIHS Service Award in recognition of her years of dedication and sacrifice in support of our student body. In honor of Tammy's memory, we ask that you join us in recognizing a moment of silence."

If you ever attended a basketball game at Bernard Parady Gymnasium you knew where to find Tammy. She would be to the right as you came in the Gym from the parking lot entrance selling merchandise

On Friday night, her chair was there, and fans in attendance brought flowers in Tammy's memory, creating a makeshift memorial

As I was describing the flowers and the makeshift memorial I started crying on the radio. I know I speak for the entire MDI Community when I say that Tammy will be sorely missed, and that our hearts are grieving as we send Bunky, Chelsea and all who loved and knew Tammy prayers of consolation in this time of loss
