The Boston Red Sox bounced back after losing 3 games in a row for the first time all season, defeating the Oakland A's 12-3 on Sunday, May 21st.

Every Red Sox had at least 1 hit, with Hanley Ramirez going 3-4 and Christian Vazquez going 3-5. Mitch Moreland hit his 5th home run of the season. The Red Sox banged otu 15 hits. In addition, every Red Sox with the exception of Xander Bogaerts had at least 1 run batted in.

Eduardo Rodriguez had a great game pitching for the Red Sox. He went 8 innings, striking out 8 and walking just 1. He allowed 6 hits, and 3 runs, all earned. Matt Barnes pitched the scoreless 9th inning for the Red Sox.

Boston is now 22-21, 1 game over .500. The Red Sox are off on Monday, before opening a 6 game homestand with 3 games against Texas and 3 games against Seattle. Boston is currently in 3rd place, 4.0 games behind the 1st place New York Yankees.
