The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees 2-1 in 10 innings on Friday night, at Fenway Park on Carlos Narvaez's walk-off single, scoring David Hamilton. It was Boston's 7th walk-off win of the season.

Garrett Crochet proved why he is Boston's ace. He went 8.1 innings, allowing just 4 hits, striking out 7 and walking 1. He threw 107 pitches. The only mistake he made was a pitch to Arron Judge who hit his 26th homer of the season, to tie the score in the 9th inning at 1-1.

Aroldis Chapman came in and retired the 2 batters he faced in the 9th inning and then Garrett Whitlock pitched the 10th inning to earn the win. He's now 5-0.
