The Boston Red Sox won their 4th straight and 5th in their last 6 games, beating the Chicago White Sox 4-3 in 10 innings, as Triston Casas hit a bases-loaded single to drive in the winning run.

Garrett Crochet went 6.0 innings allowing 4 hits and struck out 7 and walked 2 but didn't get a decision.

Greg Weissert blew the save, allowing 2 hits and 3 runs in the 7th inning to allow the White Sox to tie the score at 3-3.

Justin Slaten struck out 2 in the 8th inning and Aroldis Chapman allowed 1 hit and struck out 1 in the 9th inning. Garrett Whitlock picked up the win, striking out 2 in the 10th inning. He's 1-0 on the season.

Rafael Devers was 1-4 but his lone hit was a 3-run blast in the 5th inning to give Boston a 3-0 lead.

 

Boston is now 12-10 while Chicago is 4-16.The 2 teams will met on Sunday for the 3rd game of the 4-game series. The pregame starts at 12:35 with the 1st pitch at 1:35 p.m. on WDEA AM 1370.
