With the Boston Red Sox leading the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 on Tuesday night, the game was suspended because of lightning and rain. The game will resume on Wednesday afternoon, July 2nd.

The game will resume at 2:30 and you can hear the pregame starting at 1:30 on WDEA AM 1370. The two teams will then play the 3rd game of the series on Wednesday night, at the scheduled time of 7:10 p.m., with the pregame starting at 6:10 p.m. on WDEA AM 1370

Boston scored their 2 runs in the 1st inning on Tuesday night with back-to-back doubles by Jarren Duran and Roman Anthony. Carlos Narvaez then drove in the 2nd run.

Richard Fitts started for the Red Sox and allowed the 1 run, striking out 1.

The Red Sox are expected to send Brayen Bello out to the mound when the game resumes.

Prior to the game NESN threw it back to 1975 with a retro look, honoring the Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds who played in the World Series that year. Check out the video and highlights.
