Red Sox Beat the Royals 7-1 [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox beat the Kansas City Royals 7-1 on Tuesday night, May 19th out in Kansas City and have moved out of last place in the AL East and are now in 4th place!

Boston's bats came alive, pounding out 15 hits, with Jarren Duran hitting a 3-run home run, his 5th of the season, in the 9th inning, to put the icing on the cake. He also had a double.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa, playing shortstop, was 3-3  Ceddanne Rafaela was 2-5 with a double. Wilyer Abreu was 2-5 and Willson Contreras was 2-5 with 3 runs batted in.

Boston's top-4 in the lineup, Duran-Rafaela-Abreu-Contreras were a combined 8-18, with 2 walks.

On the mound Ranger Suarez started and pitched 4.1 innings allowing 2 run, striking out and walking 3. Zack Kelly recorded the final 2 outs in the 5th inning. Tyler Samaniego pitched the 6th, with Justin Slaten ptiching the 7th inning. Garrett Whitlock picked up the win with a scoreless 8th inning and is 3-1. Jovi Moran struck out the side in the 9th inning.

Boston is now 21-27 while the Royals are 20-29. The 2 teams will play the final game of the 3-game series on Wednesday night, May 20th with the pregame starting at 6:40 on WDEA  AM 1370.
