The Boston Red Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 8-5 on Tuesday night, July 29th.

Trevor Story hit a 2-out, 2 run homer in the 3rd inning, when the Red Sox scored 4 runs. Story finished the night 2-5, add a double, his 16th of the season, with 3 runs batted in. The homer was his 16th of the season.

Jarren Duran hit his 10th homer, a solo shot in the 5th inning. He also had a double, his 28th of the season, finishing the night 2-4.

Abraham Toro, and Wilyer Abreu each had a double.

Ceddanne Rafaela had a triple, his 3rd of the season, knocking in a run.

Roman Anthony, batting leadoff was 1-4 with a run batted in. Alex Bregman and Carlos Narvaez each singled.

On the mound, Lucas Giolito went 6.0 innings, improving his record to 7-2. He allowed 5 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2.

Aroldis Chapman picked up his 19th save, striking out the final batter of the game. He had to come in to close out the game after Jorge Alcala had allowed 2 hits and 2 runs, including a homer in the bottom of the 9th.

Boston is now 58-51 and in 3rd place in the AL East, 5.0 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays. The Red Sox own the 2nd place Wild Card playoff spot.

Boston and Minnesota will play the final game of the 3-game series on Wednesday afternoon, July 30th. The pregame starts at 12:10 with the 1st pitch at 3:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.
