After the Red Sox and Orioles combined for 31 runs on Friday night, the Red Sox shutout Baltimore 5-0 Saturday afternoon, 5-0 to win the first game of the day-night doubleheader on August 11th.

David Price won his 12th game, and is now 12-6, throwing 6 innings and striking out  season high 10 batters. He didn't walk a batter and allowed only 5 hits. Tyler Thornburg, Ryan Brasier and Matt Barnes combined to throw 3 hitless innings to close out the game.

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit 2 homers in the game. Eduardo Nunez hit a homer, driving in 2 runs. Xander Bogaerts had a double and was 3-4.

The New York Yankees beat Texas Saturday afternoon 5-3, and the Red Sox are still 9 games ahead of the Yankees.

The Red Sox play the 2nd game of the doubleheader with the pregame starting at 6:20 and 1st pitch at 7:05 with Hector Velazquez starting for the Red Sox.
