Hours after the Boston Red Sox placed Chris Sale on the Injured List with left elbow inflammation, Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 7.1 shut-out innings allowing just 4 hits as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4-0. Rodriguez finished with 4 strikeouts and earned his career high 14th win. The 7.1 innings he pitched was a season high and the most since September 23, 2017 when he went 7.2 innings against Cincinnati.
