Don't look now but the Boston Red Sox have won 5 in a row after routing the Seattle Mariners 11-2 on a rainy Mother's Day in Fenway Park on May 12th. The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 games, 11-2 in their last 13 games and 16-6 in their last 22 games. The Red Sox are now in 3rd place 3 games behind the 1st place Tampa Bay Rays and 2.5 games behind the 2nd place New York Yankees.

Rookie phenom who was in a bit of a batting slump blasted out of it, going 3-5 and drove in a season high 5 RBIs. He became the 23rd Red Sox rookie with 5 plus RBIs in a game, the last being Andrew Benintendi who drove in 6 on August 12, 2017 against the New York Yankees.

JD Martinez was 2-4 with both hits being homers, his 7th and 8th of the season.

Rafael Devers, now batting .336 was 3-5 with a double and RBI. It was his  4th straight multiple hit game and during his 5 game hitting streak he is batting .545 (12-22)

Christian Vazquez was 2-3 with a double and is batting .440 (11-25) in 8 games during May.

Xander Boagaerts was 1-1 scoring 3 times and walked 4 times. He reached base a career high tying 5 times in a game, including a career high 4 walks.
