Red Sox No-Hit By A’s Lose 3-0 Saturday
The way the Boston Red Sox were hitting, it was going to take a special pitching performance to keep them in check and the Oakland A's received that on Saturday night, April 21st from Sean Manaea, who spun a no-hitter. The Red Sox's 8 game winning streak came to an end, as Oakland won 3-0.
Manaea out-dueled Red Sox ace Chris Sale, who just hasn't had any run support to speak of this season. Manaea struck out 10 while just walking 2 the entire night. Sale went 7 innings, striking out 10 allowing 6 hits and 3 runs.
Marcus Semien scored all of Oakland's runs, hitting a homer and was 2-3.
The Red Sox will play Oakland in the rubber game of the 3 game series Sunday afternoon. The pregame starts at 3:20 and 1st pitch at 4:05 on AM 1370 WDEA. The Boston Red Sox will send David Price to the mound.
