Red Sox Lose in 9th on Walk-Off Hit 4-3
It was another tough night for the Boston Red Sox in Houston, as the Red Sox lost to the Astros in th 9th inning, when Carlos Correa singled to right field with the bases loaded to give Houston the 4-3 win on Saturday, May 25th.
Red Sox starter David Price pitched only 15 innings before being removed with flu-like symptoms. Colten Brewer and Travis Lakins pitched very well but Matt Barnes let the game get away in the 9th after the Red Sox had tied the score 3-3 in the top of the inning.
In the 9th inning Barnes allowed a hit, walked 2 to load the bases before Correa's heroics.
Andrew Benintendi was 2-4 with a double. Rafael Devers continued his hot bat was was 3-4. Michael Chavis was 2-4
With the loss, Boston fell to 7.5 games behind the first place New York Yankees. The Red Sox and Astros will play the final game of the 3 game series in Houston on Sunday, May 26th.
