Red Sox Fall to Mariners 8-5 Wednesday [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox fell to the Seattle Mariners 8-5 on Wednesday, April 23rd at Fenway Park.

Sean Newcomb took the loss and is now 0-3. He went 5.0 innings allowing 8 hits and 4 runs. He struck out 8 and walked 2. Brennan Bernadino pitched the 6th inning allowing 2 unearned runs and 1 hit, while walking 1. Josh Winckowski pitched the final 3 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 4 and walking 2.

Triston Casas hit a 3-run home run for the 2nd consecutive day. He ended the night 1-3

Jarren Duran was 2-5 with a single and double. He now has a 10-game batting streak.

Alex Bregman was 2-4 with his AL-leading 10th double in the 1st inning. He also singled in the game.

Rafael Devers was 0-3 but had a RBI groundout. He walked and scored in the 8th inning. He leads the American League with 21 walks.
