Red Sox Fall to Blue Jays 2-1 in 11 Innings [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox lost their 3rd straight game, losing to the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 in 11 innings at Fenway Park on Wednesday night. Boston only managed 4 hits in the game.

Boston has scored only 4 runs in their last 3 games following a 4-game span when they scored 44 runs total.

Tanner Houck started for the Red Sox and went 6.2 innings allowing 5 hit and 1 run. He walked 2 and struck out 2.

Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless 9th inning, striking out 2 including Andres Gimenez on a 102.0 miles per hour fastball. He became just the 2nd Red Sox pitcher since 2015 to throw a pitch of 102.0 mph or faster joining Joe Kelly who did it 5 times.

Josh Winckowski took the loss, allowing the winning run in the 11th inning and is now 0-1.

Rafael Devers was 2-4 with a pair of doubles. Since starting the season 0-21 he has gone 13-30, batting .433 and driving in 8 runs with 5 doubles and 1 home run.

Kristian Campbell singled in the 8th inning. He's just the 3rd Red Sox player since 1920 to reach safely in each of their first 13 game at age 22 or younger, joined only by George Scott in 1966 and Ted Williams in 1939.
