The Boston Red Sox wasted an outstanding start by Garrett Crochet and fell to the Los Angeles Angels 3-2 on Tuesday night in 10 innings. The loss was the Red Sox's 4th straight.

Crochet went 7.0 innings holding the Angels to just 3 hits and left with a 1-0 lead. He struck out 10 and walked 3.

Greg Weissert allowed 2 hits and 1 run in the 8th inning. including a home run to Chistian Moore to tie the game.

Aroldis Chapman struck out the side in the 9 inning.

But Justin Wilson allowed a 2-run homer to Moore, his 2nd of the game in the 10th inning with 1 out. Wilson is now 2-1 on the season.

Marcelo Mayer was 3-4 for the Red Sox, with his at triple.

Jarren Duran had a double.

Wilyer Abreu had Boston's other hit, as they just managed 5 hits in the game.

Boston is now 40-41. They have a losing record at the mid-point of the season for only the 4th time in the last 27 full seasons.

Boston is in 4th place in the AL East, 6.0 games behind the New York Yankees. They are 2.5 games out of the 3rd Wild Card position.

The Red Sox and Angels will play the final game of their 3-game series on Wednesday afternoon, June 25th, with the pregame starting at 3:07 and 1st pitch at 4:07 on AM 1370 WDEA.
