The Boston Red Sox opened their 3-game series in Toronto against the Blue Jays on Tuesday night, blasting 5 home runs and beat Toronto 10-2.

The Red Sox wasted no time scoring as both Jarren Duran and Alex Bregman hit solo home runs in the top of the 1st inning.  It was Duran's 2nd of the season and Bregman's 6th. Bregman finished 3-5 and is now batting 331

Kristian Campbell hit his 4th of the season in the 2nd inning. He finished 2-4 with a double to go with the home run and a pair of runs batted in.

Rafael Devers hit his 5th homer of the season in the 3rd inning and Wilyer Abreu hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd inning. Abreu's homer was his 6th of the season. He finished 3-4.

Tristan Casas was 2-5

Garrett Crochet picked up the win and is now 3-2. He pitched 7.0 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 6 and walked 3.

Liam Guerrero pitched a hitless 8th inning and Brennan Bernardino closed out the game, striking out 2 in the 9th inning.

Boston is 17-14, 1.5 games behind the New York Yankees, in 2nd place in the American League East Conference.

The Red Sox and Blue Jays will play the middle game of the 3-game series Wednesday night The Red Sox are expected to activate Lucas Giolito to start Wednesday's game from the Injured List. The pregame starts at 6:07 p.m. with the 1st pitch at 7:07 p.m on WDEA AM 1370.
