Yes it was only a preseason game, but anytime the Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees it feels good, and the Red Sox did so on Tuesday night, beating the Yankees 4-2. Newly acquired ace Chris Sale continued his mastery of the Yankees striking out 10 in 6 innings.

Sale looked to be in mid-season form, throwing 6 strong innings, allowing just 2 runs both earned on 4 hits. While striking out 10, he didn't allow any walks.

Marco Hernandez continued his hot spring at the plate trying to make the big league roster going 2-4 with a triple. Sam Travis, playing first base was 2-4 with 2 runs batted in.

The Red Sox are off on Wednesday. They're back in action on Thursday, when they will play Pittsburgh at 1 PM. They open the regular season on Monday, April 3rd at Fenway Park against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
