Red Sox Beat Rays 5-2 as Duran Homers and Steals Home [VIDEO]
Rafael Devers' 6-game home run streak came to an end but Jarren Duran homered and stole home as the Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-2 on Tuesday night.
Duran hit his 3rd homer of the season in the 6th inning.
In the 8th inning, Duran stole home, as part of a double-steal with Devers. It was the first time a Red Sox player had stolen home since Travis Shaw did it on April 16, 2016.
Reese McGuire hit his 3rd homer of the season in the 9th inning.
Cooper Criswell started for the Red Sox and went 5.1 innings allowing 6 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 6 and walked 1.
4 Red Sox relievers combined to hold the Rays to 1-hit the rest of the game with Kenley Jansen picking up his 8th save of the season.
Boston is now 25-24 and in 3rd place in the AL East.
