The Boston Red Sox enjoyed a little home cooking, returning to Fenway Park after a 4 game series in Detroit, and beat the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night, April 11th 8-1. The Red Sox are now 3-0 at Fenway. It's just the 2nd time since 2002 that the Red Sox have started the season with 3 straight wins at Fenway Park. Christian Vazquez has been perfect on the season at the plate. He was 4-4 with a double, triple and RBI. He has yet to make an out when at bat and is the 1st Red Sox player since Ted Cox in 2002 to reach base in his first 7 bats on the season.
Drew Pomeranz pitched 6.0 innings and allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run while walking 1 and striking out 6. It was his 1st career win at Fenway!
