Red Sox 1-Hit Braves Winning 9-0 as Devers Homers Twice [VIDEO]
The Boston Red Sox 1-hit the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday afternoon, June 5th at Fenway Park.
Nick Pivetta was dealing on the mound for the Red Sox, going 7 strong innings. He allowed just 1 hit and struck out 9 while walking 2. He improved his record to 3-4.
Zack Kelly (2 strikeouts) pitched the 8th inning and Brad Keller pitched the 9th inning.
Rafalel Devers was 2-3 with 3 runs driven in.
He hit his 12th homer, a solo home run in the 2nd inning.
And then he hit his 13th homer, a 2-run shot in the 7th inning.
Jarren Duran was 2-5 with a home run and triple. The triple was his 9th of the season. He leads the Major Leagues in triples. No other player has more than 6 on the season.
Tyler O'Neill who was reinstated from the 10-Day Injured List before the game was 2-4 with a run batted in. Jamie Westbrook, came on as a pinch-hitter and singled in the 8th inning for his 1st major league hit.
