Rally at the Head of the Island for the Trojan’s Football Team Saturday Morning

Yes, it's a basketball sign, but it sure is applicable to Saturday, November 11th, when the MDI Trojans head to Cameron Stadium in Bangor, to play in the State of Maine Large School 8-Man Football Championship!

The Trojans last played in the State Finals in 2016, when they didn't have success in taking on the Wells Warriors. Although, if you remember, they got redemption, beating them in the Class B State Finals in Augusta!

The MDI Trojans will be leaving the High School heading to Bangor at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 11th. Fans are encouraged to meet at the Head of the Island at 7:45 a.m. to cheer the team as they leave the Island!

If you can't make it to Cameron Stadium in Bangor for the kickoff, you can listen to the game on AM 1370 WDEA, with the pregame starting at 10:40 a.m. The game will also be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device! 

If you are going, be sure to purchase your tickets in advance, or bring your credit cards. The Maine Principal's Association has switched to a cashless ticketing policy. You can purchase your tickets HERE. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and seniors. There is a small handling/service fee added to the tickets.
