Marina Keene was the tough-luck loser for Bucksport. She allowed 6 hits and 4 runs, 3 of which were earned. She struck out 10 and walked 2.

Riley Shimabukuro, a freshman, playing in her 1st varsity game was 2-3 leading off for Washington Academy, with a double and home run. Grace Howard, Lily Hennessey, Violet Dineen and Hayden Look each singled.

Dineen had 2 stolen bases for Washington Academy.

Marina Keene, Emma Clement, and Layken Varnum each singled for Bucksport.

Washington Academy, 1-0 will play host to Mt. View on Saturday, April 25th at 1 p.m.

Bucksport, 0-1 will host Orono on Friday, April 24th at 1 p.m.
