Rafael Devers hit his 1st homer as a San Francisco Giant, a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 3-2 win over the Boston Red Sox in San Francisco on Saturday afternoon.

Devers' homer, was his 16th if the season. It came after he was 0-5 against Boston on Friday night.

The Red Sox outhit the Giants 6-4

Trevor Story was 3-4 while Wilyer Abreau was 2-4 with a run batted in. Roman Anthony was 1-2, with a double, walking twice.

Brayan Bello took the loss for the Red Sox. He went 6.0 innings allowing 4 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 6 and walked 1, but allowed 2 home runs.

Jorge Acala pitched the 7th inning and Luis Guerrero the 8th inning for the Red Sox. Neither allowed a hit.

Boston is 40-38 in 4th place in the AL East. They are 5.0 games back from the New York Yankees, and own the 3rd Wild Card spot, if the playoffs were to begin today.

Boston and San Francisco will play the final game of the 3-game series on Sunday afternoon, June 22nd, with the pregame starting at 3:05 p.m. and 1st pitch at 4:05 p.m. on WDEA AM 1370.
